We are more than happy to release another Martin’s work. ‘El Svein’ is a 20mins long piece where one can sink into the ocean of Rach’s sonic explorations. A spiral diving. A spectrum of ambient/noise tech surprises.

melophobia comes from Greece. He likes to experiment with long noise and drone sounds intermingled with field recordings and acoustic sounds. melophobia is heavily influenced by contemporary artists such as Merzbow and early ’90s shoegaze scene. He is active with his ultra-limited releases of his 3″/5″ CDr label ‘illicit-tapes’. He cherishes the piles of his priceless jap noise C-xx tapes and obscure vinyls.
BroodingSideOfMadness is interested in phonemes, graph theory, realism and any dystopian ambiance. He seeks for the generative element in his tracks. He is the founder of Etched Traumas netlabel.

This is the first and maybe the last Pineal Neuron Trauma release. The project is inactive for a long time and its future is uncertain. So this would be the right time to have a release with all the recorded stuff till now.
The story began when Tim Van der Schraelen (Antwerp, Belgium) and Mattia P. (Italy) started Pineal Neuron Trauma and recorded their first 3 tracks (tracks 01-03) in November 2013 and a fourth one (track 04 : Digital Skullfuck) in April 2014. Both they had their own solo music projects. Mattia liked to make mostly noise music as “Human Virus Transmission” while Tim liked to make experimental/dark ambient music using mostly soundscapes and rhythm beats, and also making videos for his and other’s people music using various aliases such as Obu Tarn, (Alex) Amerantropoid(es), etc. Tim has a hearing problem and he uses hearing aid in order to make music.
In April 2014 Tim also asked Theofil Tsiolakakis (Thessaloniki, Greece) who he already had his own project “Mean Flow” (experimental, ambient, noise, etc) using mostly keyboards to collaborate and they recorded a S/T song (track 23) as “Drowned In The Sewers” almost simultaneously with PNT 4th track. They started to make some more few music (which finally aborted by Tim and used by Theofil to Mean Flow music) while Tim asked Theofil to join PNT. So as a trio project this time. PNT recorded 13 tracks (tracks 05-17) in almost 1 year period, between May 2014 to April 2015. Then there were some disagreements with Mattia, and Tim decided to stop the collaboration and PNT were inactive again for some months.
In September 2015, Tim asked Theofil to continue PNT and write new tracks and also brought another member to project, Joseph (Athens, Greece) who has his solo music project too, called “BroodingSideOfMadness“. Joseph also has his own music label called “Etched Traumas“.. So with this line-up they recorded 2 tracks in September 2015 (tracks 18 : I Walk The Same Dark Place) & 19 : Brave New World) and another one (track 20 : Fake Spirituality Is Moral Rape) in February 2016. Joseph then, for some personal reasons stopped recording with PNT although he was never officially left the project.
Tim and Theofil recorded a track (track 24 : Four Legs Good, Two Legs Bad) in March 2016 and Tim decided to have it as the second track by Drowned In The Sewers. After that, there was another period not so active. Tim And Theofil started another 2 tracks in June 2016. The one track (track 21 : “He Who Talks To Machines”) got the final recording and the video clip in August 2016. The second track (The Pineal Neuron Trauma Continues) named as this, because of Tim’s will to continue PNT, left without a video clip.
This last track (The Pineal Neuron Trauma Continues) and another track named “Chaos” that recorded in October 2016, mixed together by Tim as one final track (track 22 : The Burning Past) and a new final video clip was made by Tim in March 2017.
Last time Tim’s hearing ability got worse and this is another main reason PNT’s future is so uncertain.

We are so happy to present ‘Les silences de Perséphone‘ the 6th work of Philippe Neau on Etched Traumas net label. FREE Download here
Philippe Neau comes from France and started his sound-making projects by cobbling together music samples, field recordings and the results of his fiddling with audio software. Sounds complete his works and add an atmosphere within and around his paintings, subsequent installations and videos. He looks for dense, heavy, noisy, squeaky, tense and quiet atmospheres, which have to be both dark and bright at the same time. In his previous projects he used the artistic name Nobodisoundz.

“I’m in Real Life – Where are You?” is Ein Profil’s attempt at expressing the feelings of falling in love while still young and naive. The album evokes various emotions as well as sentimental memories of that summer we all have been through – no matter who we are or where we live. It’s kitchy, it’s inscrutable – it’s dilettantish, it’s multi-faceted and loses itself to details. It’s you, it’s here, it’s now – a unique moment. There is no need to hurry even though billions of chances are running out — billions are created at the very same time. Take your time and feel free to listen to Ein Profil. FREE Download here
Ein Profil comes from Germany where he lives in the beautiful town of Marburg. He especially prefers the sound of strings and chimes and is fond of melodies placed into hollow or wafting backgrounds. He is highly interested in collaborations, so feel free to contact him!
Many Thanks to Delp and Voidscream for making this possible! I’d also like to thank Delp and The Wolfgirl Liberation for the remixes!

Enjoy our first release for autumn 2016 numbered ET101 by djozr and Lezet artists. Free Download here.
The sophomore effort by a duo of old friends is a collaboration as much as it is a split release. It documents a radical departure from the sounds and approaches hitherto associated with Djozr and Lezet, and ventures into dangerously new terrains for both artists. But even despite this, the split feels more like a unified body of work than a mere collection of new songs.
djozr (d͡ʒoʊ.zɹ) is an ambient drone glitch project by Glenn Bryce.
Lezet is an experimental music project from Serbia.

Our first release for 2016. This is the third compilation of our releases [ET51-ET78]. We would like to thank all the contributing artists and our downloaders. Have a happy new year!! There are fantastic projects in the near future. You can ‘like’ our Facebook page.
We feel like explorers; we travel light years in distance via unheard sounds springing from our lungs. Armed with a DAW, and a poor quality audio recorder, for new situations. There are rules to override, and wires to stretch. Capture the sound of stretching a copper string, an accidental breaking of glass and suddenly we are between mellowness and harshness, sadness and happiness. We are here to make a joyful noise, because all impulses escape stereotyping.
‘Our model is sound’, so lets go down and burn up the road. Leave your etched traumas behind.
Amazing Creative Commons licensed music.

Connecting drone from sketches, prayers, and incantations by the solo pianist Tide Jewel, we present “Into The Armory Of Doves”, a sequence of instrumental messages brought about out of years of cosmic abandon, solitude, vertigo, suicide attempts, situational anxiety, and what is historically referred to as “acedia”. This work unites a unique menagerie of influences including Haibane Renmei (created by author Yoshitoshi Abe) and Sylvia Plath poems (selected favorites include ‘Flute Notes From A Reedy Pond’, ‘Crossing The Water’, ‘I Am Vertical’, ‘Aquatic Nocturne’, ‘Gold Mouths Cry’, ‘Apprehensions’ etc.). It also shows the influence of Chihei Hatakeyama and Asuna in its’ ambition and time lengths. Less obvious is the import of noisier acts like the late Jason DiEmilio of Azusa Plane (who Tide Jewel sites as a singular influence with songs like “United States Direct Investment In Other Countries” being a personal favorite), as well as Prurient, Pharmakon, and Merzbow. Tide Jewel would personally like to thank Danji Buck-Moore, of Canada’s aPicturesqueVenusTransit, who told him over the course of a conversation they were having “May you find substance in all that you do”.
The cover painting is by the late Agnes Pelton, a spiritually engaging work called “Winter” (1933) used with the blessing/permission of Peter Palladino of the Agnes Pelton society.
http://www.agnespeltonsociety.com/ May this record find you well.
Tide Jewel encourages you to listen to this record in an environment that isn’t crowded with noise, or on headphones from start to finish
Tide Jewel is a solo pianist who began making electronic music in 2011. Inspired by the home-recording practices of Baths and Oh Land, he/she/it engendered on a path from glossolalic-laptop tunes to electroacoustic drone pieces, inspired by literature, anime, and farming. His style is jokingly referred to as “flower electronics”, since the greatest import of his work comes from listening to nosier acts like Swans, The Blood Brothers, and Pharmakon etc., filtering this mode of listening through his own praxis. All songs are considered “poems” and “prayers”, unfinished sketches to encounter the One.

Muryoku is aimed to put sounds like natural ambient noise. Sound texture is influenced by Jon Hassell’s work.
‘I was born in Japan and started to make music since 2004. My main focus is to make sounds that can be musical on very high volume environment. Two most important artist for me are Merzbow (high volume environment) and Yasushi Miura (techniques of synthesis and audio editing).’

Side to side is a 4 tracks EP exploring several musical territories, textures and grooves. This is the first release of the duo but certainly not the last.
Created in 2013, 5158 is a collaborative project between Sound of Freedom and Arbee. 5158 km separates these two Canadian musicians. This great distance is not enough to stop spreading a common interest, across the land and the airwaves. Sharing a passion for electronic music, ambient vibes, and sound texturing, quickly evolved in this tangible project. Passion, imagination and music have no physical limits.

Winjer3 emerged from the Chicago area of the United States in 2013 with his cosmic blend of experimental electronic, drone, ambient, minimalist beat, and rhythmic noise sounds. He uses a blend of small analog instruments, virtual approximations of analog instruments,
and a receiver of shortwaves to create his unique sound. Recordings are generally completed “on the fly” and in one take; in order to maximize the improvisation of the recordings.
Winjer3 describes his main influences to be nature, the universe as whole, and the phenomena exhibited in both. There is a special focus on the more disastrous aspects of each influence, as can be heard in the details that exist within the sounds of Winjer3.
