This is the first and maybe the last Pineal Neuron Trauma release. The project is inactive for a long time and its future is uncertain. So this would be the right time to have a release with all the recorded stuff till now.
The story began when Tim Van der Schraelen (Antwerp, Belgium) and Mattia P. (Italy) started Pineal Neuron Trauma and recorded their first 3 tracks (tracks 01-03) in November 2013 and a fourth one (track 04 : Digital Skullfuck) in April 2014. Both they had their own solo music projects. Mattia liked to make mostly noise music as “Human Virus Transmission” while Tim liked to make experimental/dark ambient music using mostly soundscapes and rhythm beats, and also making videos for his and other’s people music using various aliases such as Obu Tarn, (Alex) Amerantropoid(es), etc. Tim has a hearing problem and he uses hearing aid in order to make music.
In April 2014 Tim also asked Theofil Tsiolakakis (Thessaloniki, Greece) who he already had his own project “Mean Flow” (experimental, ambient, noise, etc) using mostly keyboards to collaborate and they recorded a S/T song (track 23) as “Drowned In The Sewers” almost simultaneously with PNT 4th track. They started to make some more few music (which finally aborted by Tim and used by Theofil to Mean Flow music) while Tim asked Theofil to join PNT. So as a trio project this time. PNT recorded 13 tracks (tracks 05-17) in almost 1 year period, between May 2014 to April 2015. Then there were some disagreements with Mattia, and Tim decided to stop the collaboration and PNT were inactive again for some months.
In September 2015, Tim asked Theofil to continue PNT and write new tracks and also brought another member to project, Joseph (Athens, Greece) who has his solo music project too, called “BroodingSideOfMadness“. Joseph also has his own music label called “Etched Traumas“.. So with this line-up they recorded 2 tracks in September 2015 (tracks 18 : I Walk The Same Dark Place) & 19 : Brave New World) and another one (track 20 : Fake Spirituality Is Moral Rape) in February 2016. Joseph then, for some personal reasons stopped recording with PNT although he was never officially left the project.
Tim and Theofil recorded a track (track 24 : Four Legs Good, Two Legs Bad) in March 2016 and Tim decided to have it as the second track by Drowned In The Sewers. After that, there was another period not so active. Tim And Theofil started another 2 tracks in June 2016. The one track (track 21 : “He Who Talks To Machines”) got the final recording and the video clip in August 2016. The second track (The Pineal Neuron Trauma Continues) named as this, because of Tim’s will to continue PNT, left without a video clip.
This last track (The Pineal Neuron Trauma Continues) and another track named “Chaos” that recorded in October 2016, mixed together by Tim as one final track (track 22 : The Burning Past) and a new final video clip was made by Tim in March 2017.
Last time Tim’s hearing ability got worse and this is another main reason PNT’s future is so uncertain.
You can watch all video clips of Pineal Neuron Trauma’s songs made by Tim, in this playlist link :

We are so happy to present ‘Les silences de Perséphone‘ the 6th work of Philippe Neau on Etched Traumas net label. FREE Download here
Philippe Neau comes from France and started his sound-making projects by cobbling together music samples, field recordings and the results of his fiddling with audio software. Sounds complete his works and add an atmosphere within and around his paintings, subsequent installations and videos. He looks for dense, heavy, noisy, squeaky, tense and quiet atmospheres, which have to be both dark and bright at the same time. In his previous projects he used the artistic name Nobodisoundz.

“I’m in Real Life – Where are You?” is Ein Profil’s attempt at expressing the feelings of falling in love while still young and naive. The album evokes various emotions as well as sentimental memories of that summer we all have been through – no matter who we are or where we live. It’s kitchy, it’s inscrutable – it’s dilettantish, it’s multi-faceted and loses itself to details. It’s you, it’s here, it’s now – a unique moment. There is no need to hurry even though billions of chances are running out — billions are created at the very same time. Take your time and feel free to listen to Ein Profil. FREE Download here
Ein Profil comes from Germany where he lives in the beautiful town of Marburg. He especially prefers the sound of strings and chimes and is fond of melodies placed into hollow or wafting backgrounds. He is highly interested in collaborations, so feel free to contact him!
Many Thanks to Delp and Voidscream for making this possible! I’d also like to thank Delp and The Wolfgirl Liberation for the remixes!

Enjoy our first release for autumn 2016 numbered ET101 by djozr and Lezet artists. Free Download here.
The sophomore effort by a duo of old friends is a collaboration as much as it is a split release. It documents a radical departure from the sounds and approaches hitherto associated with Djozr and Lezet, and ventures into dangerously new terrains for both artists. But even despite this, the split feels more like a unified body of work than a mere collection of new songs.
djozr (d͡ʒoʊ.zɹ) is an ambient drone glitch project by Glenn Bryce.
Lezet is an experimental music project from Serbia.
all music by Glenn Bryce and Igor Jovanovic

We feel like explorers; we travel light years in distance via unheard sounds springing from our lungs. Armed with a DAW, and a poor quality audio recorder, for new situations. There are rules to override, and wires to stretch. Capture the sound of stretching a copper string, an accidental breaking of glass and suddenly we are between mellowness and harshness, sadness and happiness. We are here to make a joyful noise, because all impulses escape stereotyping.
‘Our model is sound’, so lets go down and burn up the road. Leave your etched traumas behind.
Amazing Creative Commons licensed music.
We are more than happy to present ‘Howl’, a project by sp3ct3rs and Bride Wore Black. ‘Howl’ is a work about isolation.

Connecting drone from sketches, prayers, and incantations by the solo pianist Tide Jewel, we present “Into The Armory Of Doves”, a sequence of instrumental messages brought about out of years of cosmic abandon, solitude, vertigo, suicide attempts, situational anxiety, and what is historically referred to as “acedia”. This work unites a unique menagerie of influences including Haibane Renmei (created by author Yoshitoshi Abe) and Sylvia Plath poems (selected favorites include ‘Flute Notes From A Reedy Pond’, ‘Crossing The Water’, ‘I Am Vertical’, ‘Aquatic Nocturne’, ‘Gold Mouths Cry’, ‘Apprehensions’ etc.). It also shows the influence of Chihei Hatakeyama and Asuna in its’ ambition and time lengths. Less obvious is the import of noisier acts like the late Jason DiEmilio of Azusa Plane (who Tide Jewel sites as a singular influence with songs like “United States Direct Investment In Other Countries” being a personal favorite), as well as Prurient, Pharmakon, and Merzbow. Tide Jewel would personally like to thank Danji Buck-Moore, of Canada’s aPicturesqueVenusTransit, who told him over the course of a conversation they were having “May you find substance in all that you do”.
The cover painting is by the late Agnes Pelton, a spiritually engaging work called “Winter” (1933) used with the blessing/permission of Peter Palladino of the Agnes Pelton society.
http://www.agnespeltonsociety.com/ May this record find you well.
Tide Jewel encourages you to listen to this record in an environment that isn’t crowded with noise, or on headphones from start to finish
Tide Jewel is a solo pianist who began making electronic music in 2011. Inspired by the home-recording practices of Baths and Oh Land, he/she/it engendered on a path from glossolalic-laptop tunes to electroacoustic drone pieces, inspired by literature, anime, and farming. His style is jokingly referred to as “flower electronics”, since the greatest import of his work comes from listening to nosier acts like Swans, The Blood Brothers, and Pharmakon etc., filtering this mode of listening through his own praxis. All songs are considered “poems” and “prayers”, unfinished sketches to encounter the One.

Winjer3 emerged from the Chicago area of the United States in 2013 with his cosmic blend of experimental electronic, drone, ambient, minimalist beat, and rhythmic noise sounds. He uses a blend of small analog instruments, virtual approximations of analog instruments,
and a receiver of shortwaves to create his unique sound. Recordings are generally completed “on the fly” and in one take; in order to maximize the improvisation of the recordings.
Winjer3 describes his main influences to be nature, the universe as whole, and the phenomena exhibited in both. There is a special focus on the more disastrous aspects of each influence, as can be heard in the details that exist within the sounds of Winjer3.

Etched Traumas is proud to release Rach’s exquisite work titled ‘Interrupted‘. The release combines two sets of excerpts from improvising on two instruments, piano and roland Ef303 machine, with a looped work in the middle done for disquiet junto project (www.disquiet.com). Neither of instruments is/was mine, piano standing in an old house on west coast of Norway, that I used to play during evenings of my stay there looking for specific sonoric features – first piece is improvised around two slightly detuned keys, second (last on the release) – on lowest and highest pitch, with natural ambience of an old piano being played. Roland Ef303 is a machine of my friend (Domas Ruskys), who let me use it for some weeks during my stay at home in Lithuania (also on the west coast). Mainly improvised to see what it sounds with no or minimal input – the insides of its looped/rewiring buzz in an unstable (moving/slightly swinging on a table) setting.
Speech call. Is that not how all graphomaniacs start? Hearing the call. No. Feeling the itch. Better now. The old radio. Tune between FM frequencies, but no song. Not a one damn song. All babble. All pussy, tit, love love love, till vomit or ejaculate. Same thing. That don’t arouse me anymore. So much the better. Switch to short waves. Shift amidst stations, static, find the beatings, now, some song, at least at last. Some play. What else (one needs)? Some rice, some onion, some carrot, if that. One don’t need much, when one prepares. Turn the radio off. Some tea, cheap tasteless tea, pour water, all is good. A cigarette, all is better. Then the sky, less cloudy, the better. Waiting. Such are waiting times. Maybe the mountain, some sea. One needs less, when preparing. Or, even better, not getting wasted. Clean in old cloths. Some little light and far city ambiance. Itch stopping. Not wasted. Not.
Big thank you to people who let me use their instruments for this project.

1000SCHOEN is simply the german veteran musician Helge Siehl, ex-Maeror Tri, but in this case he didn´t nothing to do with post / punk or industrial, but more ambient / drone oriented. Instead this stylistic change of 180 degrees, 1000SCHOEN has still little touches and little influences which remind the most lo-fi industrial and the also lo-fi noise.
Claude Charnier’s vision of a future that never was, is a dystopian parallel world of spacecraft-like skyscrapers, giant dirigibles, floating city fortresses, dark alleys on distant moons and of monumental machines. It’s a fascination for the sense and the design of such a world. It’s a soundtrack inspired by film and comic books, especially the works of Moebius, Bilal and Schuiten. Claude’s music is also available as Headscan via bandcamp.

Giacomo Salis started as a drummer for Chemical Marriage, Lady Radiator, Dancefloor Stompers and his new electronic solo project stemmed from his passion for cut-up and the exploration of noise music. The project regards the relationship between music and image, and tries to create sound spaces with the aim of reaching and interacting with other forms of expression, for instance: video art, installation and theater, using a sound formula that shifts from dark ambient and noise, to experimental electro-acoustics.
Starting with an intense use of the loop technique, he develops the ‘idea of a “horizontal” persistent kind of music, enriched by cinema references and nocturnal atmospheres. Using these prerequisites My problem child realized the soundtrack for the photographic exhibition: “Interni di Donna” by the artist Tomaso Spiga using electronics and percussions which was performed at the San Giovanni Battista church in San Sperate. Salis has just released a collection of pieces on you tube entitled “Orphan Songs” and is working on an album that was inspired by Afro-American Voodoo religion. He also collaborated in Mauro Sambo’s project: 6’27”.
No Way Out is a french experimental project active since 2009. Through the years the sounds have evolving from dark ambient to bruitisme and including neo-classical amongst many other style (but mainly in the experimental field). But whatever the medium used, the soul of the project remain the same. Each albums must be seen a new chapter of a same story. Noise become raw material for sculpting longs architectural landscape that’s reveal the inner feelings of the listener. It’s an immersive experience made of intensity and introspectives phases.
The “nobodisoundz” project was born in 2008 (with a reference to the character of “Nobody “in Dead Man, a Jim Jarmusch film)
I first started this sound-making project by cobbling together music samples, sounds, field recordings and the results of my fiddling with some software. These sounds completed my works and added an atmosphere within and around my paintings, subsequent installations and videos. With time, these sounds have gained a more and more important place and have become self-sufficient, no longer requiring any other medium. I look for dense, heavy, noisy, squeaky, tense and quiet atmospheres, which have to be both dark and bright at the same time.
Pierre Jolivet originally from Paris, is an artist who’s currently based in Dublin. Pierre started as a French pioneer, under the moniker of Pacific 231, in the industrial and power electronics musical fields before moving into ambient and abstract sounds. His works now explores the very limit of sound and space, especially through his past and present audiovisual performances presented in numerous countries. In 2010, he became part of the Luigi Russolo jury, an international award in acousmatic music created in 1979 with the participation of François Bayle and Pierre Schaeffer.
Pollux is the brainchild of Arnaud Barbe, hyper-productive boy from France. He has released tons of albums, EPs & singles on a number of labels. He also have founded his own net-label Sirona-Records. He currently produce mostly ambient & drone but also some noise, electronica, soundscape, experimental sounds. He is also an active member of the lobit aka low bitrate community.
This solo project started in February 2013 with my 1st composition Lethal agony.

Øystein Jørgensen aka Q / Ambient Fabric / Auditory Perception – is a Music Producer/Sound Designer from Norway. He started his musical activity in late 1980 as a bass guitar player in some Black Metal/Hardcore/punk bands. In early 2000 he started experimenting with music software and field recordings.
Sound is in our minds before birth. Afterwords we just make it free.
Sonologyst was born in Naples (Italy), in May the 8th, 1971. After studying mathematics and physics at Naples University, he graduated as a sound technician in 1999. In 2000 he started experimenting with electronic mediums, and the result was a 4 track album released as ‘Memorie Elettroniche Sonore’ (on PeopleSound, a record label sponsored by TDK). After that he studied guitar and improving his technical skills in the electronic music field, returning to produce music, finalizing many ideas he had in previous years.
In end of 2012 and the beginning of 2013 Petroglyph Music netlabel released, under the name Sonologyst, “Ipotesi del continuo”, “Beyond the logic of Science” and “Forgotten Rituals”, the latter a collaboration with polish musician Dariusz Michalak. In 2013 Sirona Records released “The waiting”, an album of solo electric guitar experiments, and Sillage Intemporell publishes a dark industrial album of Sonologyst in collaboration with french experimental musician Adrien Mailler a.k.a. No Way Out .
In 2014 Petroglyph Music released Unexplained Sounds album, a work focused on the “uncommon” field recording manipulations, and Geometrical Phenomenons in collaboration again with NOW, where there’s an exploration of generative music solutions.
Various visual works have been based on Sonologyst’s tracks by visual artists like Cesar Naves, Alex Amerantropoides, Swoon, and many single compositions were selected for compilations around the world (Midnight Radio, IFAR, Red Venice, Petroglyph Music, Sombre Soniks dark ambient volumes, etc) or for radio streaming shows and underground events.
Sonologyst bases this project on the perpetual experiment in sound, looking back to early experimentation of the Fifties and Sixties of Berio, Stockhausen, Ferrari, Parmegiani, Subotnik explorations, forwarding to the future possibilities of electronic and electro-acoustic instruments, with a special attention to the relationships between music and science, between music and other art forms, including experimental cinema and ancient mythologies. Many of Sonologyst compositions have mathematical concepts, that serves as inspiration. Although this relationship, the structures are not rigid – all pieces are almost completely improvised. That’s why he calls his music “experimental”, meaning that the result is unpredictable. Sonologyst research continues with experimental guitar manipulations and into more remote soundscapes, and sonic abstractions territories.
